Estee Lauder and Victoria Beckham have recently collaborated to create a beautiful collection that is just perfect for the Fall season. I got to attend the NYC launch at Bergdorf Goodman and even met Victoria in person (see footage in my vlog below!). She is absolutely stunning and oh-sooo chic! Butttttt back to the makeup. The collection is exactly what you would expect from Victoria and Estee Lauder: high quality and extremely beautiful.
Let’s talk about the packaging first because I am completely obsessed with how stunning every item from the line is. The perfect mix of black and gold with some items being all gold, all black and some with a mix of both (palettes). Everything feels sturdy and looks super luxurious. In short, the packaging is EVERYTHING!
Now let’s break it down to each product. I don’t own the entire collection, so I can only speak about the products that I do have. Everything feels extremely high quality and is super pigmented. But that being said, I don’t think each item is an absolute must from the line (esp. because of the price tag). Speaking of the $$, everything in the line is priced higher than Estee Lauder’s main line. For example, the lipsticks in Estee Lauder’s permanent line is $32, but priced at $45 for this collection. This collection is not cheap by any means, but please do remember the line is limited edition, the packaging is different etc. You are also paying for the ‘Victoria Beckham’ name.
Anyway, back to review. To keep things short and sweet, I’ll speak about each item individually, starting off with the bronzer in the line.
Bronzer ‘Java Sun’ – $65
The Java Sun bronzer is a nice neutral toned bronzer (not too cool or warm) that will work on everyone who is lighter than me. It actually does show up on me, but I really do have to build the product (which means I will be wasting a lot of product). For $65, I would say this is a pass if you are my skin tone or darker.
Lipsticks – $45
Brazilian Nude: Soft, natural nude. This shade is gorgeous and it does work for my skin tone if I pair it with a darker lip liner. Without a lip liner, it washes me out. As much as I like the color, I would say this is a pass as well considering that I cannot wear it on it’s own. This will work beautifully for someone who is lighter than me.
Chilean Sunset: Bold, bright orange. This lipstick is one of my favorite items from the entire line. Chilean sunset is super pigmented, glides on the lips and is the most flattering orange lipstick that will work for all skin tones!
Eyeshadow palette – $95
I actually really, really love this palette. You can use the eye shadows wet or dry, which is amazing and I love how beautiful all the colors all. The eye shadows are super rich, pigmented and blend beautifully. You can create both daytime and nighttime looks with these eye shadows and they will work for all skin tones.
Eye foil – $36
The eye foil is a really cool product. It’s basically a liquid/cream eyeshadow that you can use all over the lids as eye shadow or as an eye shadow base. It sets super fast, so you have to work quickly but will not crease at all throughout the day.
Morning Aura Illuminating Creme – $95
My favorite product from the entire line is the morning aura illuminating creme. This product is just incredible and I have not stopped using it since I have gotten it. It is a brightening face primer that gives you skin the most subtle, gorgeous glow. It is the perfect product to give you the ‘glow from within’ and can be worn under makeup or on it’s own. I have used this under my makeup as a primer, and my makeup definitely lasted longer than without using it. I also love using it on its own.
Eye Kajal duo – $30
The eye kajal is awesome! It is super pigmented and blends so easily, but I do think this is a pass because there are so many affordable alternatives available.
Overall the collection is super luxurious and my top picks will have to be the illuminating creme, Chilean lipstick and eyeshadow palette. The rest, I definitely believe you can find affordable alternatives. The entire line is currently available on Esteelauder.com
